Army Chief Participates in EME Corps Annual Captain Conference-2025

Saidpur: Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman today attended the EME Corps Annual Captain Conference-2025 at the EME Center and School (EMEC and S) located in Saidpur Cantonment, as reported by the Directorate of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, upon his arrival at EMEC and S, General Waker-Uz-Zaman was welcomed by several high-ranking officials, including the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Army Training and Doctrine Command, the newly appointed Colonel Commandant of the EME Corps, the GOC and Rangpur Area Commander, and the Commandant of the EMEC and S.



During his address, General Waker-Uz-Zaman emphasized the significant heritage of the EME Corps and its contributions to national service. He urged members to equip themselves with the necessary skills to meet the challenges of the 21st century through timely training. He expressed confidence that each member would exemplify dedicated service in the future, as mentioned in the release.



The conference was attended by the GOC of Army Training and Doctrine Command, senior military officers, the commandant of the EMEC and S, commandants from all EME units of the Bangladesh Army, as well as media representatives.



Additionally, the release noted that Major General SM Zia-ul-Azim officially assumed the role of the ’12th Colonel Commandant’ of the EMEC and S AME Corps on February 22.
