Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky and chances of light rain in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions for the next 24 hours. The forecast, which begins from 9 am today, indicates a possibility of light rain or drizzle at one or two locations within these divisions.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ridge of the sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low is situated over the South Bay. This atmospheric condition is likely to result in moderate to thick fog occurring over the country from late night to morning.
The forecast also highlights a slight increase in night temperatures by 1-2 degrees Celsius, while day temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country. On Tuesday, the highest temperature was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius in Teknaf, whereas the lowest temperature today was 12.0 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi.
The sun is set to descend at 05:52 PM today and will rise again at 06:33 AM tomorrow in the capital.
