Lakshmipur: A victory rally for the champions of the U-14 cricket team was held today at the district stadium ground under the theme 'Let's change the country, change the World'.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event also featured a volleyball competition with seven participating teams. The competition was organized by the district administration and the district sports office, with support from the district sports association and the football federation. In addition, a reception was held to honor the cricketers who emerged as divisional level champions in the under-14 cricket tournament.
The victory rally commenced at the district stadium ground, traversing important roads in the city before concluding at the original venue. Following the rally, Lakshmipur Deputy Commissioner Rajib Kumar Sarkar emphasized the role of sports in eradicating drug addiction. He congratulated each player on behalf of the district administration for their success in the U-14 cricket tournament and expressed hopes for their participation in future national games.
The event was also attended by Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) AB Siddique, Additional Deputy Commissioner Khisa Samrat, District Sports Officer Md. Jahangir Alam, Lakshmipur Football Federation Vice President Advocate Mohsin Kabir Swapan, and its General Secretary Sohail Adnan, among others.
