Dhaka: The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has announced the publication of a gazette listing 834 martyrs of the July-August mass uprising. This significant step marks the release of the first official list of martyrs recognized by the government, encompassing individuals from various regions across the nation.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the gazette was signed by Haridas Thakur, who serves as the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. The document details essential information about each martyr, including their medical case ID, name, father's name, current address, and permanent address. This publication is a notable development in the commemoration and recognition of those who sacrificed their lives during the uprising.
