Dhaka: Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain today stated that Dhaka cannot speculate major changes in Bangladesh-USA relations during the tenure of President Donald Trump. "We have nothing to speculate," he mentioned to reporters at the foreign ministry this evening. The foreign adviser expressed his optimism that relations with the United States will proceed smoothly.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Touhid Hossain remarked that when the new administration in the US assumes office, there might be some remarks from Washington, which will be examined accordingly. He emphasized the importance of maintaining balanced relations with India, China, and the US, ensuring that Bangladesh's own interests are safeguarded.
Touhid reiterated that Bangladesh is committed to maintaining good relations with these three countries, with a focus on protecting Dhaka's interests.
