Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that the weather may remain dry over the country for the next 24 hours, beginning from this morning. The forecast indicates that the sky will be temporarily partly cloudy, as the ridge of the sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and its adjoining areas. Additionally, a seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to the North Bay.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, moderate to thick fog is expected to occur over the Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions. In contrast, light to moderate fog may be seen elsewhere across the country from late night to morning. The night temperature is predicted to fall slightly, while the day temperature is expected to decrease by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the northern part and fall slightly elsewhere.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature recorded in the country was 30.4 degrees Celsius at Teknaf, whereas the minimum temperature today was noted at 9.5 degrees Celsius at Tetulia. In the capital, the sun is set to set at 5:33 pm today and rise at 6:43 am tomorrow.
