Dhaka: The software of the land ministry has been updated to make online land management hassle-free and land services more accessible for people.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a ministry press release announced that the software has been updated to enhance online land services and provide integrated services to the public. The ministry's online services were temporarily suspended from November 26 to December 1, 2024, to facilitate the software update.
The newly updated software aims to simplify processes such as land mutation, registration, tax collection, and khatian recording. Additionally, the ministry's revised website, www.land.gov.bd, was launched on December 1, 2024, to support these improvements.
All land-related data has been transferred to the national server of the Bangladesh Computer Council, as stated in the press release. Senior Public Relations Officer of the ministry, Mohammad Gias Uddin, informed BSS that the data server center is now linked with high-speed internet to ensure that people receive fast and uninterrupted services.
