JUJA: Mehedi Mamun and Abdullah Al Mamun have been elected as the president and general secretary, respectively, of the Jahangirnagar University Journalists’ Association (JUJA) for the upcoming year. The election results were announced by Chief Election Commissioner Prof Dr. Lutful Elahi, marking the beginning of a new term for the organization’s executive body.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement was made at approximately 2 p.m. today, with Assistant Election Commissioner Associate Prof Muhammad Rezaul Rakib and Md Yousuf Harun present to oversee the proceedings. The newly elected team comprises individuals from various media outlets, ensuring representation across different journalistic platforms.
The other office bearers include Bayezid Hassan Rakib of Daily Inqilab as vice-president, Jubayer Ahmed of DBC News as joint secretary, Razib Raihan of Protidiner Bangladesh as treasurer, and Mah Alam of Daily Observer as office and publication secretary. This diverse team is expected to lead JUJA through its activities and initiatives over the next year, fostering a collaborative environment for student journalists at Jahangirnagar University.
