Khulna: Police today arrested two alleged smugglers and seized 50 grams of gold in the Sachibunia area here this morning. The arrested individuals have been identified as Bablu Dhar, aged 38, from Rajstholy upazila in Rangamati, and Nayan Manik, aged 26, a resident of Fatikchhari in Chattagram, as stated by Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Labonchara police station, Md Touhiduzzaman. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests followed a tip-off which led a police team to search a passenger-bound bus in the Sachibunia area. During the search, Bablu Dhar was found in possession of the gold around 8 am. Consequently, the authorities filed a case with Labonchara Police Station in connection with the gold seizure.
