Khulna: BNP's acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, has announced that the upcoming national election in Bangladesh will be the most challenging one yet, particularly in terms of garnering public support during the post-mass uprising period. He articulated these views during a virtual training workshop for party workers from the Khulna and Mymensingh divisions, emphasizing the need for the party to win the public's trust and confidence to secure votes. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tarique Rahman highlighted the importance of dispelling any misconceptions among party members that BNP already holds power. He urged them to work towards earning the people's mandate through positive actions and maintaining their trust. Stressing the welfare of the people, Rahman introduced a 31-point reform proposal, developed after extensive internal discussions, and called upon party members to communicate these points effectively to grassroots communities. During the workshop, Rahman addressed the necessity of strengt hening primary education and advocated for advanced teacher training and instilling good manners in children. He also proposed increased support for farmers, suggesting that if BNP comes to power, a 'Farmer Card' would be introduced to provide fertilizers, seeds, and subsidies. He emphasized that financial support for farmers could lead to significant agricultural success. In Khulna, the workshop was chaired by BNP's Khulna Divisional Acting Organizing Secretary Anidya Islam Amit at the Khulna Press Club. Key figures such as BNP Media Cell Convener Dr. Moudud Alamgir Pavel and various secretaries attended alongside leaders and activists from 11 Khulna Division units. In Mymensingh, BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan inaugurated the workshop at the Town Hall. Notable speakers included BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince and Chairperson's Adviser Ismail Zabi Ullah, among others. The event was attended by several senior members and activists, highlighting the party's focus on mobil izing its base in preparation for the upcoming election.
