Dhaka: A meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee is scheduled for tomorrow to evaluate the sighting of the new moon marking the beginning of the holy month of Jamadi-us-Sani. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting is set to take place at 5:45 PM in the conference room of the Islamic Foundation located at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain, the Religious Affairs Adviser, will preside over the session. The public has been urged to report sightings of the holy Shawal month's moon anywhere in the Bangladeshi sky.
