Journalist Ruhul Amin Gazi’s Contributions Celebrated at Netrakona Memorial Meeting.

Netrakona: Journalist Ruhul Amin Gazi was remembered for his commitment to protecting the dignity and rights of the journalism community during a memorial meeting held today. Netrakona District Journalist Welfare Association organized the event at the Netrakona District Press Club's conference room. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was attended by notable figures, including the President of the Dhaka Union of Journalists, Mohammad Shahidul Islam, who served as the chief guest. Kurshid Alam, the general secretary of the Dhaka Union of Journalists, and Saiful Islam, the general secretary of the Mymensingh Union of Journalists, participated as special guests. The event was presided over by Mahbubul Kibria Chowdhury Halim, the president of the Netrakona District Journalist Welfare Association. Other speakers at the meeting included SM Moniruzzaman Dudu, joint convener of the BNP Netrakona district unit, Haider Jahan Chowdhury, former vice president of the Netrakona District Press Club, Sham olendu Paul, former general secretary of the Netrakona District Press Club, and Muklesur Rahman Khan, another former general secretary of the Netrakona District Press Club. Delwar Khan, the general secretary of the Netrakona District Journalist Welfare Association, conducted the proceedings. During his address, the chief guest highlighted Ruhul Amin Gazi's resilience and dedication to journalism. He noted that despite facing repression during the 15-year autocratic rule of Sheikh Hasina, Gazi continued to write against the government's autocratic and fascist practices.
