Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry for the next 24 hours beginning from this morning. "Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country," said a Met Office forecast. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay. A low-pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Bay and adjoining areas during the next 24 hours. Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the northern part of the country, while light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere during late night till early morning. The country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at 31.8 degrees Celsius jointly at Cox's Bazar and Kutubdia, while the minimum temperature today was recorded at 14.5 degrees Celsius at Srimangal. Night and day temperatures may fall slightly across the country. The sun sets today at 05:11 PM and rises tomorrow at 06:20 AM in the capital.
