Thakurgaon: The District Committee of the Civic Platform has undergone a significant restructuring with the aim of fostering a sensitive, non-communal, and democratic society. This initiative was unanimously decided upon, resulting in the appointment of Zakir Mostafiz Milu as the convener, while Moushumi Rahman and Shankar Kumar Dey have been designated as joint conveners. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the decision to reshuffle the committee was made during the quarterly activation meeting of the Thakurgaon Citizen Platform District Committee, held on Saturday. The meeting, organized by Democracy Watch and chaired by Moushumi Rahman, took place in the meeting hall of TFC. It saw participation from key members of the organization including joint convener Zakir Mostafiz Milu, member Shankar Kumar Dey, and others such as Biplab, Bilkis Akhter Banu, and Rumi Akhter. During the meeting, members discussed and adopted the implementation of a three-month action plan alongside future plans aimed at enhan cing community engagement. Additionally, it was decided that the committee would engage in dialogue with local administration and conduct discussions and yard meetings to raise awareness on various social issues. Plans were also made to organize visual exhibitions and cultural events to support these initiatives. The meeting concluded on a patriotic note with the performance of patriotic songs, marking the beginning of a renewed commitment to community development and social awareness.
