KU Vice-Chancellor Calls for Unified Efforts to Enhance University’s Role in Development.

Khulna: Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna University (KU) Prof. Dr Md Rezaul Karim sought everyone's cooperation to make the KU vibrant. "The KU authority will play a vital role for sustainable development for the greater interest of the society and the nation as well," he made the remarks while exchanging views with the journalists at the Journalist Liakat Ali Auditorium of the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Basu Building of KU today. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the VC emphasized the importance of research in contributing to the country's development and addressing global challenges. He highlighted the necessity for KU students to be skilled and competent, ensuring they stay updated with the latest knowledge. The VC expressed a commitment to providing quality education. Further, the VC outlined several strategic initiatives aimed at achieving KU's vision. These include advancements in education, research, international collaboration, skill enhancement, infrastructural development, administrative conso lidation, and improving responsiveness between students and teachers. He mentioned the formation of various committees to eliminate discrimination within the university. Prof. Dr Md Rezaul Karim also paid tribute to the martyred students, including KU's own Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho, who lost their lives during the quota reform and Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement. He offered prayers for the salvation of their souls. The meeting was addressed by KU Pro-VC Prof Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan, while the director of student affairs Prof Dr Md Nazmus Sadat conducted it. Attendees included KU Acting Registrar, Prof Dr S M Mahbubur Rahaman, Deans of various faculties, Department Heads, Provosts, Directors, and journalists from print, electronic, and online media.
