Three Golden Girl Footballers Receive Grand Reception in Rangamati.

Rangamati: Three golden girls -- Rupna Chakma, Rituporna Chakma, and Monika Chakma -- of the SAFF-winning Bangladesh women's football team were accorded a mass reception here today (Saturday). The event, which celebrated their remarkable achievements, was a collaborative effort by the Rangamati district administration, Army region, Chattogram Hill Tracts Development Board, Hill District Council, and District Police Administration. It took place at the Rangamati Ching Hla Mong Mari Stadium. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the celebration saw the presence of Rangamati Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharaf Hossain Khan, Rangamati Zilla Parishad Chairman Kajal Talukdar, and district police superintendent Dr. SM Farhad Hossain, who jointly handed over Taka three lakhs to each player along with honorary mementos on behalf of the Rangamati district administration, Rangamati army region, and hill district council. In addition, Rangamati Municipal Administrator Nasreen Sultana presented Taka 50,000 and a m emento to each player on behalf of the municipality. The district unit of BNP also contributed to the recognition, with District BNP President Dipan Talukder and General Secretary Md. Mamunur Rashid, along with various level leaders, presenting an honorary memento. The District Jamaat-e-Islami, represented by Ameer Abdul Alim and General Secretary Mansurul Haque, also honored the footballers with an honorary memento. The celebration began with the three footballers embarking on a journey from the field of Rangamati Ghagra High School, accompanied by a motorcycle procession and a decorated truck, traversing through different parts of the city. The festivities concluded with a cultural program featuring performances by local artistes, adding a vibrant touch to the grand reception.
