Mymensingh: The age group swimming competition was held at the Mymensingh District Swimming Complex today (Saturday). Azim Uddin, the additional deputy commissioner (General) of Mymensingh, graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners, as stated in a press release. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event featured 70 talented boys and girls who have been participating in regular swimming training at the Mymensingh swimming complex. Mymensingh District Sports Officer Al-Amin noted that the competition was organized to boost the popularity of swimming in Mymensingh and to inspire new boys and girls to learn the sport. He further mentioned that the competition is part of the annual sports program organized by the sports department. Additionally, a month-long training session is planned to be conducted soon, targeting the talented athletes of the organization and skilled swimmers from the district.
