Consultative Workshop on Land Management Reform Held in Habiganj.

Habiganj: A daylong consultative workshop on land management reform took place at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's (DC) Office in Habiganj. The event aimed to provide people-friendly land services and was attended by a range of participants from different sectors. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land ASM Saleh Ahmed participated virtually as the chief guest, while the workshop was chaired by DC Faridur Rahman. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Land, addressed the function as the special guest, highlighting the importance of reforming land management to improve service delivery. The event also featured contributions from Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Land Md. Zahid, Deputy Director of Local Government Nurul Islam, and Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Prabhangshu Som Mohan. BAKS President Shamsul Huda and Secretary of Bangladesh Tea Workers Union Nipen Pal were among other notable speakers who emphasized the need for inclusive and efficient land services. The workshop saw participation from a diverse group, including heads of various departments and individuals from different walks of life, all coming together to discuss and contribute to the reform initiatives.
