Gazipur: District police in a drive held a fugitive murder accused from Konabari in Gazipur today. The detainee was Bulbul Hossain, 35, who hailed from Patnitala upazila in the district. He was accused in the sensational Sumon murder case filed with Patnitala Thana. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Additional Police Super Gaziur Rahman announced in a press conference at the Police Super's office in the town this noon that, acting on information, Naogaon police conducted a raid in the Konabari area with the assistance of Gazipur police early this morning and apprehended Bulbul. At 10:30 pm on 17 November, in a live video on Facebook, Sumon, a resident of Mahadebpur upazila, stated that someone was trying to kill him. Later, police found his body hanging from a tree on Mahadebpur-Patnitala Road on the same day.
