Gazipur: BNP Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain has made a fervent appeal for national unity to establish a democratic state. Speaking as the chief guest at a rally organized by Gazipur Mohanagar BNP, Dr. Zahid emphasized the importance of collective effort in achieving this goal. The event was held to commemorate the National Revolution and Solidarity Day, a significant date in Bangladesh’s political history.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Zahid highlighted the trust people placed in Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman on November 7 and suggested that the same faith is now being directed towards BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman after the events of August 5. He expressed confidence in the electoral process, stating that if people are allowed to vote freely, the BNP’s symbol, the ‘Sheaf of Paddy,’ would emerge victorious.
