BKSP Red Team Emerge Champions in Women’s Football Tournament.

Savar: Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP) Red team emerged champions in the BKSP Cup Women’s Football tournament, beating BKSP Green team by 3-0 goals in the final held at BKSP ground in Savar on Thursday.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in the proceeding, Nobirun Khatun, Tqanjila Afroz Hira, and Moriom Mannan each scored a goal for the champions in the one-sided affair. The match showcased the dominance of the BKSP Red team, as they secured their victory with a convincing scoreline.

Bangladesh Football Federation’s newly elected president, Tabith Awal, was present as the chief guest and distributed the prizes to the winning team. In addition to Awal, BKSP Brigadier General Md Munirul Islam also attended the event, highlighting the significance of the tournament.

Despite the loss, Lima from the BKSP Green team was named the best player of the tournament, acknowledging her impressive performance throughout the competition. Meanwhile, Sagorika from the BKSP Red team emerged as the highest
scorer with ten goals, further emphasizing her pivotal role in her team’s success.

The tournament was a four-day event that saw participation from a total of sixteen teams, reflecting the growing interest and enthusiasm for women’s football in the region.
