Dhaka: South East Bank PLC accorded a warm reception to the SAFF winning Bangladesh women’s football team for becoming unbeaten champions of the SAFF Women’s Championship held in Nepal last month. The reception ceremony took place at its head office in the capital on Thursday, as mentioned in a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was graced by the presence of BFF president Tabith Awal and was presided over by South East Bank PLC chairman MA Kashem. Each member of the triumphant women’s football team received a cash award of Taka three lacs, while the coaching staff was awarded Taka one lac each as a token of appreciation for their efforts.
The ceremony was also attended by BFF vice presidents Wahud Uddin Chowdhury and Fahad Mohammad Ahmed Karim, BFF member and women’s committee chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron, and BFF general secretary Imran Hossain Tushar, among others.
