Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry over the country for the next 24 hours since this morning. “Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country,” the forecast begins from 9 am today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a low-pressure area has formed over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and the adjoining area. Its associated trough extends up to the North Bay and is likely to move towards the Tamil Nadu-Sri Lanka coasts. Despite this development, the BMD predicts that both night and day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across Bangladesh.

The country’s highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 34.5 degrees Celsius in Sandwip, while the lowest today was 17.7 degrees Celsius in Tetulia. Residents in the capital can expect the sun to set at 05:14 PM today and rise at 06:12 AM tomorrow.
