Anti-Drug Community Dialogue Held in Chapainawabganj.

Chapainawabganj: A community dialogue aiming at stopping production and consumption of drugs was held in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila on Monday afternoon. A community radio “Radio Mohananda” organised the programme with the financial assistance of Free Press Unlimited at Babudaing Filtipara, an area inhabited by ethnic minority groups under Jhilim union of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chapainawabganj district office of the Narcotics Control Department Inspector Md Elias Hossain Talukder and the sub-inspector of the same Md Mamunur Rashid attended the programme. Presented by the producer of Radio Mohananda Momena Ferdous Aroni, the programme was addressed among others by Chapainawabganj Correspondent of Daily Prothom Alo Anwar Hossain Dilu, Assistant Teacher of Babudaing Alor Pathshala Nirmal Saren, and Adibasi leaders (Village Morols) including Lacham Murmu, Sunil Tudu, Lakkhan Murmu, Bizoli Tudu, Jogen Hasda, Kalpana Murmu, and others.

Different issues like
how to stop the production and consumption of drugs in the Adibasi areas, early marriage, women repression, and family conflicts were discussed in the dialogue.
