BANDARBAN: Members of the law enforcement agency today detained 81 Rohingyas including 31 women and children when they were trying to enter Bangladesh from Myanmar through the Alikadam border. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rupayan Deb stated that the local upazila administration, with the assistance of the law enforcement agency, intercepted the group. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested Rohingyas were handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) for further action, as confirmed by UNO Rupayan Deb. The incident underscores ongoing challenges related to border security and the movement of Rohingya refugees in the region.
