Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is set to leave Dhaka tomorrow for a four-day state visit to Baku, Azerbaijan, to participate in the Conference of Parties-29 (COP-29), a prominent global climate summit.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, confirmed that Professor Yunus will depart Dhaka on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight. The visit, scheduled from November 11 to 14, will see the chief adviser engaging in a series of meetings and discussions centered around climate change.
During the summit, Bangladesh, recognized as one of the countries most vulnerable to climate change, will articulate its concerns and the specific risks it faces. Press Secretary Alam indicated that Professor Yunus is expected to address various forums at COP-29 and hold meetings with international dignitaries present at the event.
