DHAKA: General Secretary of Biplobi Workers Party, Saiful Haque, has declared that the Awami League (AL) has reached a point of political bankruptcy. He claims that the party is attempting to re-enter the political arena by leveraging the image of international figures like Donald Trump.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Saiful Haque made these remarks while paying tribute to Shaheed Noor Hossain at Noor Hossain Square (Zero Point) in Gulistan. He emphasized that relying on figures such as Donald Trump and Narendra Modi will not provide a viable path for AL to return to politics.
In his statement, Saiful Haque also called for accountability, demanding that the ousted Sheikh Hasina and her associates be held responsible for the deaths of students and civilians during the anti-discrimination student movement. He further advocated for the removal of undemocratic and fascist systems in the country to pave the way for the establishment of a humanitarian and democratic state.
