DUBAI: The Bangladesh Baseball team experienced their second defeat in the Baseball United Arab Classic Championship, succumbing to the host United Arab Emirates (UAE) by a score of 9-2 in their third group match held in Dubai on Saturday. Despite a strong start, Bangladesh was unable to maintain its momentum throughout the match, as indicated in a press release. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh's hopes in the tournament now rest on their upcoming match against India, which they must win to advance to the next round. The current standings see Pakistan and the UAE in favorable positions with two victories each, while both Bangladesh and India have secured one win in the tournament thus far. Earlier in the tournament, Bangladesh faced a 10-0 defeat against Pakistan in their opening group match. However, they managed to make a comeback with an impressive 12-0 victory over Afghanistan in their second group match, demonstrating their potential and resilience.
