BGB Seizes Smuggled Goods Worth Over Tk 8 Crore in Sylhet.

Sylhet: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today seized smuggled goods worth about Taka over 8.02 crore from Radhanagar border area under Gowainghat upazila in Sylhet. The operation was conducted based on secret information by the 48th BGB Battalion and local police. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the operation team confiscated a variety of smuggled items including cloths, Indian liquor, and cash money from the Radhanagar frontier area under Gowainghat upazila in Sylhet. Sylhet BGB Battalion-48 Commander Lt. Col. Md Hafizur Rahman informed journalists about the operation's success this evening. The seized items comprised 2,907 pieces of Indian sarees, 1,162 pieces of Kashmiri shawls, 413 three-piece suits, 12,435 meters of various types of fabrics, 1,160 meters of blazer fabrics, 1,556 meters of velvet sofa cover fabrics, 44,722 pieces of assorted creams, 1,669 pieces of face wash, 612 pieces of baby lotion, 262,990 pieces of chocolates, 13,260 pieces of E-Cap tablets, and other Indian products. A le gal action is under process in this connection.
