An auto-rickshaw driver was killed in a
road mishap at Nachole in Chapainawabganj district on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was Samsher Ali, 45, son of Riazuddin of Benipur village under
Nachole upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
Police sources said, the accident occurred as an auto-rickshaw and a
motorcycle collided head on at Benipur intersection in Nachole upazila around
5 pm.
At this auto-driver Samsher Ali and motorcyclist Rasel Ali, son of Toyeb Ali
of Madhabpur village under Paba upazila in Rajshahi district were injured.
They were taken to the upazila health complex and later they were referred to
Rajshahi Medical College Hospital but Samsher Ali succumbed to injuries on
the way and Rasel was admitted to the RMCH.
Officer in Charge (OC) of Nachole thana Md Monirul Islam confirmed this.
