Nepali Education Council presented the Adikavi Bhanubhakta Award to Swami Gyanananda Saraswoti. Professor Shiva Gopal Risal honoured Swami Gyanananda Saraswoti amidst a programme organised by the Council here on the occasion of the 211th birth anniversary of Adikavi Bhanubhaka on July 13. The award carries a purse of Rs 125,000 and it is presented to an individual making a significant contribution to the promotion of the Nepali literary field, it is said.
