A Chattogram court today sentenced life-term
imprisonment to two drug traders for trading drugs in 2013.
The court of Chattogram 4th Metropolitan Additional Sessions Judge Shariful Alam Bhuiyan
awarded Abul Hossain and Abdul Khaleq, both hailed from the city’s Halishahor area, to life-
term imprisonment for trading drugs.
The court awarded Tk 20,000 as fine each, in default, they will have to suffer one year more
imprisonment.
According to the prosecution story is in brief that a team of Doublemooring thana police detained
Hossain and Khaleq with 250 grams of heroin at Kadomtali bus station on April 2 in 2013.
Police filed a case against them with Doublemooring thana on the next day.
The court announced the verdict after examining a total of five prosecution witnesses out of 11.
