Shahin takes solo lead in deaf chess

Md. Obaidul Islam Shahin of Bangladesh now took

solo leading in the points table with maximum five points after the fifth

round games of first Asia Pacific Individual Deaf Chess Championship which

now being held at Hotel 71 in Dhaka.

Mohammad Aminul Islam of Bangladesh following is the leader with four points.

Three players are sharing the third position with 3.5 points.

They are Turmanov Berik and Donskikh Vladimir of Kazakhstan and Almazbekov

Shabden of Kyrgyzstan.

Four players are sharing fourth position with three points. They are Md. Ali

Newaz Sarkar of Bangladesh, Kim Edward and Rakhatbekov Tilegen of Kyrgyzstan

and Nurymov Berik of Kazakhstan.

The fifth round games were held today (Saturday) while Md. Obaidul Islam

Shahin beat Md. Ali Newaz Sarkar, Mohammad Aminul Islam beat Kim Eduard,

Turmanov Berik drew with Donskikh Vladimir, Nurymov Berik split point with

Rakhatbekov Tilegen, Almazbekov Shabden beat Mollah Rashedun Nabi Shaikat of

Bangladesh, Md. Hossain Ali split point with Zhukov
skaya Nina of Kazakhstan

and Gorokhova Natalya of Kazakhstan beat Kuzerbayev Yeldos of Kazakhstan.
