Sadarghat Naval police has detained two people with 1040 liters of smuggled diesel and a wooden boat from Karnaphuli River here last night.
The detained were identified as Arafatul Islam and Faisal Ahmed both hailed from Patiya upazila of the district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadarghat Naval Police Station Ekram Ullah told BSS that a boat loaded with the smuggled diesel was seized during a raid last night.
Two people were arrested for their involvement in the oil smuggling.
Legal action has been taken against them.
