Kimathanka: Snowfall in highland of Sankhuwasabha district has adversely affected people’s lives.
It is snowing with light rain in the upper parts of the district since Friday evening.
Daily activities have come to a halt temporarily while life has been difficult for the local residents following heavy snowfall. Grounds in the northern area of the district such as Kimathanka checkpoint, Makalu base camp, Tinjure Gufa Pokhari, Mangalbare are covered with snow due to snowfall, it was shared.
Locals said that the snowfall continues in those areas since they are witnessing light rainfall. Cold has sharply increased in the highland due to snowfall especially affecting children, elderly people and cattle among others.
Commoners have not been able to go out of their houses due to biting cold.
