A motorcyclist died on the spot and his son
was critically injured when a speedy bus hit them from behind near at
Chanbari of Bangabandhu expressway under Srinagar upazila here this morning.
The deceased was identified as Amir Hossain, 40, hailed from Bangaon of
Tegaria under Keraniganj, and his 11-year old child Billal Hossain who was
critically injured in the accident.
“Two bikers were critically injured as they were moving towards Mawa due to
holiday and one stage a speedy bus managed to flee after striking the bike
from its rear side around 10.45am at Bangabandhu expressway here,” said Suman
Dev, additional police super of Munshiganj.
Amir Hossain was declared dead as the locals and the fire service immediately
rushed him to Srinagar Health complex and Billal was shifted to Dhaka Medical
College Hospital in critical state.
Police are continuously trying to identify the bus.
