Dhaka: A total of 984 secondary schools out of 30,088 across the country achieved a 100 percent pass rate in this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations. This marks a significant decrease from last year when 2,968 schools recorded a 100 percent pass rate.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, 134 schools have registered a zero percent pass rate this year, compared to 51 last year, as reported by the education ministry. A total of 19,04,086 students, comprising 9,52,389 females and 9,51,697 males, sat for this year's exams.
Out of the total students, 13,03,426 passed the exams, with 6,76,445 girls and 6,26,981 boys making the cut, resulting in girls outnumbering boys by 49,464.
