RAJSHAHI, Dec 29, 2016 (BSS) - A total of 97.68 percent students passed the Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations under Rajshahi Education Board this year which was 97.47 percent last year.
As many as 2,21,617 students came out successful under the Rajshahi Education Board this year. Of the 2,26,892 students appearing in the examinations, 40,471 students including 21,876 girls secured GPA-5 this year under the board.
The board authority announced the results at a press conference at its conference hall here this noon with Acting Chairman Dr Anwarul Haque Pramanik in the chair.
According to the result sheet, the rate of success of girls in all aspects that is pass-percentage and GPA-5 rate is higher than boys this year.
Controller of Examinations Prof Tarun Kumar Sarker told the press conference that 2,26,892 students including 1,15,086 girls appeared in the examination at 211 centers from 2,891 schools in eight districts under the board this year.
