Rajshahi: A total of 88 meritorious teachers and students from the Science Faculty at Rajshahi University (RU) were honored with the dean’s award in recognition of their significant achievements in their respective academic fields. The award ceremony took place at the university’s senate building and was well-attended by faculty members, students, and other stakeholders.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, each of the award recipients received a medal, crest, certificate, and Taka 5,000 in cash. The ceremony was presided over by Science Faculty Dean Prof Nasima Akhter, with Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib serving as the chief guest. Pro-Vice-Chancellors Prof Mayeen Uddin and Prof Farid Uddin Khan also addressed the gathering as special guests.
In his address, VC Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib congratulated the award-winners on their achievements and expressed hope that they will contribute significantly to the progress and welfare of the country in the future. He emphasized the importance of c
onducting more research in the fields of science, engineering, earth science, and biology to ensure the overall success of the nation.
