7.1% Growth in Remittance Inflow Till October 20

Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 7.1 percent, reaching US$1,780 million in the first 20 days of October, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, last year during the same period, the country’s remittance inflow was $1,661 million. This indicates a significant increase in the financial contributions sent by expatriates to Bangladesh.



During the period from July to October 20, 2025, of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances amounting to $9,365 million. This figure stands in contrast to the $8,204 million sent during the same period of the previous fiscal year, showcasing a substantial rise in the country’s remittance inflow.
