6 Injured in Magura BNP Factional Clash

Magura: Six people were injured in a clash between two factions of BNP over establishing supremacy at Chakdah village in Sreepur upazila of Magura district on Monday night. Atowar Rahman, inspector of Sreepur Police Station, reported that the conflict stemmed from a long-standing rivalry between former president of no 1 ward of Gayeshpur union unit BNP Panjab Ali and the ward’s general secretary Wahab Mandal.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the tension escalated when Rocky, a supporter of Panjab Ali, was injured in an attack by Wahab Mandal’s supporters on Sunday evening. This incident led to an altercation between the factions in Natun Para area around 9:30 pm on Monday, resulting in a clash that left six individuals injured and twenty houses vandalized.



Police intervened promptly upon receiving information about the clash, bringing the situation under control. Authorities have arrested ten individuals in connection with the incident.
