Members of Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB) detained six persons allegedly for taking and selling drugs from
Baroghoria in Chapainawabganj sadar upazila yesterday.
The detainees were Md Monirul Islam, 35 of Baroghoria Kazipara, Md Sohel
Rana, 48 of Fakirpara, Shree Milon Chandra Karmokar, 57 of Shibtala, Md Nurul
Islam, 40 of Ramchandrapur College Para all under Chapainawabganj sadar
upazila, Md Amirul Islam, 35 of Nayalabhanga and Shree Shanto Saha, 21 of
Ranihati Fatepur both under Shibganj upazila in the district.
RAB said acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 raided
Baroghoria near Mohananda Bridge at around 12:45 pm and arrested them red
handed.
Later, the detainees were handed over to the sadar thana police with a case,
the sources added.
