Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an
anti-crime operation, arrested five alleged drug peddlers, including a
female, with 16 kilograms of ganja in Natore district last night.
The arrested was identified as Fazlur Rahman, 57, Hazrat Ali, 52, Ziaur
Rahman, 33, Abdul Mazid, 37, and Hasi Begum, 30. All are the residents of
Sultanpur village under Sadar upazila in Natore district, RAB sources here
said this afternoon.
On a tip-off, a team of the RAB conducted a raid in the Sultanpur area around
11.50pm and arrested them with the hemp red-handed, RAB sources said.
The arrestees with the seized contraband goods were handed over to the
police.
A case was filed with Natore Sadar Police Station in this connection.
