Dhaka: Five security guards of Dhaka University (DU) have been temporarily suspended for negligence in performing their duties. The decision was made following an investigation into their conduct during a specific night shift.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the suspended guards are identified as Md. Shah Alam from the Institute of Education and Research (IER), Md. Selim also from IER, Md. Sangram Hossain stationed at the Middle Gate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Md. Safiqul Islam from the Nutrition and Food Science department, and Md. Ali Ahmed at the Rear Gate of Curzon Hall.
The incident occurred during their duty shift from 10:00 pm on November 11 to 6:00 am the following morning. During this time, the Proctorial Security Mobile Team conducted visits to these locations and discovered evidence indicating that the guards were neglectful in their responsibilities.
