43 Fresh Dengue Cases Detected Overnight in Bangladesh

Dhaka: Health officials today said they recorded 43 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours. “We recorded 43 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in 24 hours ending at 8 am today,” a spokesman of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, out of the 43 fresh cases, 15 were hospitalised in Barishal division, three in Chattogram division, seven in Dhaka division, five in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), one in Khulna division, six in Mymensingh division, five in Rajshahi division, and one in Sylhet division, as per a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement.



Since the start of the dengue onslaughts, Bangladesh this year claimed four lives and inflicted 1,983 people. The dengue last year claimed 413 lives and inflicted 1,02,861 people in the country. Besides, the dengue claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in 2024.
