Dhaka:In a 24-hour operation, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 428 individuals and filed 79 cases for various offenses. This operation was part of the DMP's regular activities across different police station areas in the capital.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests were accompanied by the recovery of various items, including drugs and evidence. The DMP's Media and Public Relations Division issued a press release detailing the operation's outcomes.
Among those arrested, Mirpur Division accounted for 118 individuals, Tejgaon Division 62, Wari Division 46, Ramna Division 42, Lalbagh Division 41, Motijheel Division 39, Uttara Division 38, Gulshan Division 36, with the Detective Branch (DB) arresting five and the CTTC Division one.
Items seized during the operations included two switchgear knives, 386 pieces of Yaba, 7 kg 960 grams of cannabis, two motorcycles, five mobile phones, one SSD card, and one laptop. The police indicated that further legal action is underway against the arrested individuals.
