Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
arrested four alleged juvenile gang members from Barorashia village under
Shibganj upazila of the district in the early hours of today.
The arrested were identified as Md. Faizur Rahman Nadim, 20, of Gangarampur
village, Md. Rony Ahmed, 19, and Md. Mimtiaj, 19, of Parkalupur village and
Md. Shimul alias Raju, 24, of Ekbarpur Jabbar Biswastola under Shibganj
upazila of the district.
On a tip-off, a special operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj
camp, conducted a raid at Barorashia village in Shibganj upazila around 12.30
am and nabbed the trio with sharp weapons, drugs and drug-taking instruments,
RAB sources said.
Later, the elite force handed them over to the police of Chapainawabganj
sadar thana with a case.
The arrested were involved in various crimes like extortion, snatching and
other anti-social activities, the sources added.
