Kurigram: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested four individuals with 25 kilograms of ganja and 16 bottles of phensedyl-like syrup ESkuf from Dharmapur village under Phulbari police station of Kurigram district on Friday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrestees have been identified as Md Zahid Hasan alias Angur, 28, of Dharmapur village, and Md Mostafa Kamal, 38, Md Mozammel Haque, 43, and Md Hazrat Ali, 29, of Paschim Anantapur village under Phulbari police station of Kurigram. A press release revealed these details today.
Acting on a tip-off, an operational team from RAB-13's Rangpur Sadar Company conducted a raid in the village. They apprehended the four alleged drug peddlers with a significant quantity of contraband drugs from a house in the village at 4 am.
Following this incident, a case was filed under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018. The elite force subsequently handed over the arrested individuals and the seized drugs to Phulbari police station for further legal proceedings.
