238 Distressed Women Receive Warm Clothing in Gaibandha

Gaibandha: A total of 238 poor and distressed women from Saghata and Fulchhari upazilas in the district were provided with packages of warm clothing today. The distribution ceremony took place at SKS Resort in Hat Bharatkhali, located in Saghata upazila, during the afternoon.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, SKS Foundation, a Gaibandha-based non-government development organization operating nationwide, distributed the warm clothing packages to the beneficiaries. This initiative was part of the Bangladesh Winter Programme and was financially supported by Muslim Aid USA through the Muslim Aid UK Bangladesh Field Office.



Md Jalal Uddin, the project manager of SKS Foundation, officially handed over the warm clothing packages to the cold-affected women on behalf of the organization. The event was attended by Prosenjit Roy, project officer of the Muslim Aid UK Bangladesh Field Office, journalist Sarker Md Shahiduzzaman, and other officials from the organization.



Each of the beneficiary women received a comprehensive package consisting of a blanket, four sweaters, four monkey caps, four pairs of socks, and four jars of petroleum jelly.
