Narayanganj: At least 20 houses were gutted in a fire in the Isdair area of Fatullah in Narayanganj last night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fire started from an electric short circuit in a house around 11 pm and quickly spread to the neighboring houses. Senior Station Officer of Mandalpara Fire Service, Md. Shahjahan, confirmed the cause of the fire.
Upon receiving the information, four firefighting units from Mandalpara and Hajiganj Fire Service Stations promptly arrived at the scene. They were able to bring the blaze under control after an hour-long effort, as stated by Shahjahan.
The full extent of the damage caused by the fire will be determined after a thorough investigation.
